Update

So since I haven't written in quite awhile there will be quite a bit of updates here.

Update 1: We gave Brayden his first bath on Monday night. Nick and I had a blast and thought it was so cute...Brayden on the other hand was not real thrilled with the whole process. The pictures explain his feelings.

Update 2: We had our first doctors appointment on Tuesday morning. He has lost 7 oz. and he looked a little jaundice, but other than that the doctor said he looked great. However; because of his jaundice we had to take him to get some blood work done. It was very sad to watch him get pricked and then get his little heel smashed so they could get out some blood. We left the office and Brayden and I spent our first afternoon alone together. He spent most of it laying on a mat in the sun to help out his jaundice. At about 6pm the doctor called with his blood work results. The test results showed that all of his levels (blood sugar, potassium and something else) were all extremely low and that meant that he was dehydrated. We had to take him into the E.R. right away to get looked at. So off we went. We got there at about 6:30 and finally got seen at 7:45. The doctor that saw us did not believe the previous test results because if they were accurate he should have still been breathing. So they drew some more blood in order to run their own tests. This resulted in a very nice little nurse causing a lot of bruising and needle marks on Brayden cause she could not find a vein at all. Poor Guy! Finally she had someone else come and draw blood from him. After that they hooked him up to an IV to start getting fluids in him. He had his hand all wrapped up and i had to hold it still to make sure that the fluids got to him. When his blood work came back it showed that all of his levels were just fine and we could go home. Come to find out that when they draw blood from the heel and have to smash the foot to get the blood out, it does not give an accurate reading because all of the red blood cells get crushed. We finally got to take him home at 11:45 after all of that unnecessary testing and work. He is just fine and doing well now.
He is a great baby and nick and I could not have gotten any luckier. He heats and sleeps like a champ! When he wakes up in the middle of the night he eats right away and then falls right back to sleep. Hopefully he stays this good for us!

I was just going to say...we had a similar scare with Gage. So not fun!! Sounds like you guys stayed pretty calm. We got admitted and were basket cases!! Babies are pretty resilient, I've learned. I'm glad things worked out for you. He's a doll.
