Determination

He starts on one side of the gate all cute and happy,

And then he gets a little bit mad that he can't be on the other side (that whole the grass is greener thing)

So he thinks about it...
Tries it... (looking for approval)

Decides to go for it...

And he makes it! (kinda..at this point he was "guck"(stuck) and calling for "hep hep"(help)
I love you Boo!

Need a Drink?

So did Brayden after a long day at daycare...

Houdini

Brayden has this gift of being an escape artist. He can wiggle himself out of (or into) just about anything. No matter haw tight you think you have the buckle on something, he will get out of it if he wants to. Case in point:

Brayden has decided that he is not a fan of the carseat straps, so he gets his arms out whenever he can and then hangs out. He never (hasn't yet) tried to get all the way out. I think he is sitting back there plotting how to get all the way while I am driving down the freeway and have no way to stop him.

Oh the pain!

See that beautiful smile? Those beautiful teeth?

Teeth like that don't come easy no sirree they don't! They come with lots of days where this is the face you get.

The teething pain at this house is so bad that even Elmo is feeling its repercussions :(
(Elmo kinda looks like an addict to me)

We went to the doctor today and Bryaden is getting 8 teeth right now. He is getting all 4 eye teeth AND all 4 of his 2 year molars. Poor guy!

"Shishies!"

Brayden lately (ok for quite awhile now) has had a love of fish or "shishies" as he calls them. He knows what sound they make and he can spot them on everything. They are even one of his favorite snacks. They come in a very close second to his love of Elmo. (Nothing beats his love and affection for Elmo. I mean nothing)

Last weekend we decided that Brayden would enjoy going to the shark reef at Mandalay Bay. It is an aquarium that you can walk through and learn about all the different types of fish (think Underwater World). It was a lot of fun! Brayden loved looking at all of the fish and pointing and squeling eveytime one went by. He was also very good at listening to the recording that was telling you about the fish. It was a very fun Sunday afternoon outing.

I love that both Nick and Brayden have the same look going on. Cracks me up everytime I look at this picture!

25 is kinda old

Today was Nick's 25th birthday! (Happy Birthday babe!) We went out for dinner to celebrate and then out for cupcakes. It was a very low key night, (My guy is getting kinda old, Boo and I have to go easy on him) and nice to have a fun night out in the middle of the week. Brayden knew something was up today. he couldn't quite say "Happy Birthday" to Nick, but he did continue to say "luv eww" to him all night.

We went to Maggiano's for dinner. It is a fairly nice restaurant and I was a little worried about taking Brayden. He was SOOO good! Nick did his part as the best Dad ever and let Brayden dip his bread in the olive oil and then eat his pasta with his hands. Brayden even said "cheee" so I could take his picture.

I had a really nice post ready to write about how much I love Nick and what an awesome guy he is. Then he ruined it for me (kinda like his birthday present) by telling me he didn't want it to be posted and he didn't want to be embarrassed. So all you get is that I love him and I am so blessed to have him in my life. He is an amazing guy and Brayden and I love getting to celebrate him and all of his awesomeness!

Happy birthday Nick, we love you so so much!

We got some snow

This last week we had quite the storm come through here. It resulted in a lot of rainy days and some flooding around town. Once the storm passed we were left with the most beautiful snow covered mountains! This picture was taken last month when my family was here. This is our favorite spot to go hikingNow those beautiful mountains in the background look like this...

Aren't they breathtaking?

Speaking of breathtaking how can you leave out this guy

( I like how he looks a little scared in this last picture. I think it is good for him)
