Weekend trip

This past weekend, Nick had to go to California for work, so Brayden and I decided that we would go meet him when he was finished and spend the weekend at Newport Beach. We drove out there Friday afternoon and spent the whole afternoon/evening playing at the beach.


Brayden loves being by the ocean and playing in the "sanboc" or the sand. He liked watching the waves come in and jumping in them. We brought some sand toys with us and he liked helping Nick build a sand castle too.




Unfortunately, when we woke up Saturday the forecast was cold and rainy, so we headed back home right away. On our way home we stopped for gas and to get out and walk for a bit. Brayden helped pick out some snacks and got some of his favorite "canee" which is M&M's. It was a short trip but we had fun. I like being able to take a quick trip to the ocean, it is something we would have never been able to do had we still lived in MN.
